State-of-the-art facilities

Linesight was engaged to provide full cost management services for the recently completed Sport and Landscaping Infrastructure Project at the Good Samaritan Catholic College (GSCC), Hinchinbrook NSW in Australia. This project for Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) involved the construction of a new multi-use sports field, landscaping, and associated works.

In addition to the state-of-the-art recreational facilities for SCS physical education and sports, the new field also allows GSCC to host more sporting events and accommodate a bigger audience.

Linesight Cost Management services

The Linesight team provided full cost management services from concept design to final account, which involved:

  • Estimating
  • Tender BOQ
  • Tender analysis and recommendation during the pre-contract phase
  • Cost reporting
  • Certificate recommendations (general contractors and consultants)
  • Variation assessments

Value add

Sydney Catholic Schools required several work options to be priced, in order to obtain approval on the scope of works that would be available within the project budget.

Linesight’s detailed estimates on these options provided SCS with a realistic overview of what could be completed under this phase of works – a testament to this was that the tender returns for the agreed scope ended in the contractor price being within -2% to 4% of Linesight’s budget.
