Linesight provided Cost Management services for the full renovation of a corporate headquarters for a global technology business in Redwood City, CA. The 123,000sq.ft. office space over four floors was initially due to be delivered in a live environment. However, kicking off in April 2020, a mere month after the emergence of the COVID pandemic globally, the schedule of works changed significantly, with the opportunity to sequence the works concurrently arising. The evolving CDC advice also meant that works on-site faced changing guidelines around the limit to the number of people on-site and new protocols with regards to site cleaning. This was in addition to strict permitting laws in California, which impacted significantly on the schedule.
The premium space includes an exterior plaza and extensive exterior works, as well as a feature staircase, balcony and dining facilities.
