Ashlin House, Cork City

Linesight provided Cost Management services for this purpose-built student accommodation development by Round Hill Capital, which includes the construction of 554 units at Ashlin House on Bandon Road, Cork City.

The development extends over five buildings, varying in height from four to six-storeys. Each building includes a reception area, meeting rooms and common social areas for students.

This project was built using off-site Manufacturing techniques (OSM) in factory controlled environments, that assisted in lowering the embodied carbon of the project, reduced waste and yet finished it to a high standard on time, and under budget. This is even more notable given the market challenges influenced by the COVID-19 pandemic, Russia/ Ukraine conflict and materials shortages.

The project is Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method accredited for its sustainable features such as the frame which was constructed from Light gauge Steel by Horizon Offsite Ltd. (The design & build procurement route.)
