The workplace collaboration tech giant, Slack, has taken a long-term lease of the landmark, exemplar and sustainable Fitzwilliam 28 building in Dublin 2. Currently owned and being developed by Ireland’s largest utilities company, the ESB, Fitzwilliam 28 is due for completion in Q2 2020 and the investment is on the market at a guide price of €168 million. The adjoining but independent sister block, Fitzwilliam 27, will be owner-occupied by the ESB.
Linesight is providing Cost Management services on the prestigious project, with Grafton Architects, O’Mahony Pike Architects, OCSC Structural Engineers, BDP and Axiseng Building Services Engineers as members of the project team, with PJ Hegarty & Sons as design and build contractors.
Comprising 12,599.2sq.m. of prime grade-A commercial space over eight floors, Fitzwilliam 28 is in the heart of Dublin’s central business district. The A3 BER-rated building incorporates the latest sustainable technologies, and features extensive landscaping and sunken gardens, a double-height reception and considerable rooftop, courtyard and terrace garden space, providing extensive views of the city.
