No. 26, the new RCSI academic building achieves Practical Completion

As a cutting-edge educational institution, it is imperative that the RCSI’s facilities are of the highest standard, and the new building was aimed at bringing medical education to a new level at the existing campus in Dublin 2. 

The 120,000 sq.ft. building will comprise a state-of-the-art surgical and clinical training suite containing a flexible wet lab, mock operating theatre, clinical training wards, standardized patients rooms and task training rooms. It will also include a 540-seat auditorium, a library spanning three floors with 500 study spaces, a sports hall and fitness suite.

The project involves complex aspects, such as a four-level dry basement on a very tight site, as well as best-in-class medical learning facilities, which include a patient simulation system. We congratulate our client on having the vision to invest in its facilities and the project team on the delivery of this landmark building.
