Dive into her story below!

Fofo turned her childhood passion for architecture into a dynamic global career in construction, taking a leading role in data centre projects and tackling cross-cultural challenges. For her, ambition means pushing boundaries and pursuing growth. Off-duty, she paints, salsa dances and explores new corners of London. A fierce advocate for creativity, adaptability, and more women in construction, Fofo leads by example.

My passion for architecture started early, building Legos and learning from my father, who worked in the same industry. Starting with a focus on interior spaces, I soon realised that a career in this space can go well beyond design and extend into managing all aspects of a project. This insight led me to transition from design to project management, and eventually into product development and planning, where I wanted to master the financial side of projects. After years in construction management, I now concentrate on the bigger picture, collaborating with clients, investors, and agents to bring projects to life.
As a Senior Project Manager, I focus on site selection and due diligence for data centre developers, managing multiple projects across different countries. Day to day, I enjoy collaborating with diverse teams and cultures, and I see navigating each country’s regulations and work practices as an exciting challenge. I love the flexibility my job offers, as it helps me maintain a work-life balance while remaining responsive to each project’s unique challenges.
For me, ambition is about embracing continuous growth and always striving for progress. With over ten years of experience, I’ve faced challenges that have strengthened and empowered me. I believe ambition involves consistently stepping outside your comfort zone and pursuing improvement, even when faced with setbacks and challenging days. It’s about moving forward and evolving despite the obstacles encountered in projects, teams or even personal interactions at work.
I enjoy painting and am currently having fun experimenting with salsa and Latin dance, trying to figure out my favourite! I’m working towards making regular meditation as part of my routine. I also love catching up with friends and exploring London. Even after six years here, I still feel like there’s always something new to discover in the city!
In construction, an open, agile mindset is essential, as the industry constantly evolves through planning, design and execution. If you thrive on problem-solving and innovation, this field is perfect for you. Creativity and adaptability are crucial, turning every challenge into an opportunity to make a difference. As a woman, I am also passionate about encouraging more women to join and bring their unique perspectives in the construction industry.
