Multi-year delivery across global projects

Our team has been engaged in consultancy services, on an ongoing basis, for a number of high-tech facilities for the past 12 years, for this confidential client.

We continue to work with this client on multiple projects across Europe and the US, with each of the projects valued at over US$7 billion. Our experience covers all disciplines from site preparation works, factory building, and earthwork to final services to cleanroom equipment.

Linesight Subject Matter Experts in each of the engineering disciplines are knowledgeable in the complex processes and requirements of FAB construction and deliver our services which help to manage the project’s financial aspects, optimize value, and streamline the tendering and contracting process, ultimately supporting the project’s successful execution and delivery.

Linesight Value Add

  • Linesight provides continuity of service: with trusted personnel working on-site throughout the project life cycle. We embeded relevant skilled teams into our client’s offices, which enables us to properly service the needs of on-site teams as well as our client’s management team.
  • Linesight have assisted in developing the WBS cost/coding document template which is formulated in a way that is easy to read, pinpoints costings quickly and isolates building elements/disciplines at the touch of a button.
  • BIM Model Mapping: Targeted extract of quantities from BIM model to validate project estimate quantities, in terms of quantification, description and completeness. This greatly accelerates the time taken for validation and enhances quality.
  • Technology Use: Development of cloud based centres to include big database information.
  • Rapid Estimations: agreement of works packages as the design continually develops and changes.
  • Control of buyout vs budget project: we provided budget planners that provided a unified solution to both budgeting and planning.
  • Detailed oversight of procurement: process to ensure client expectations are met.
  • Cost Saving 15:1 on our fees: we strive to add value to all of our clients.
  • Knowledge Retention: With projects of this scale, knowledge retention of legacy data, local market knowledge is critical.
  • Stakeholder Management: Excellent stakeholder management to ensure full collaboration and communication with client teams and third-party service providers.
  • Supplier Liaison: Linesight interacted and negotiated with many different suppliers and contractors, using different contract types.
  • Accurate Budgeting and Cost Planning: One of the primary benefits of our precontract cost management services is the accurate development of project budgets and cost plans. This has enabled the Client to have a clear understanding of the financial implications from the outset, reducing the likelihood of cost overruns.
  • Gap Analysis: Linesight carried out an intense review of the available design information and made sufficient allowances where the design information was in complete. This provided a realistic budget for the Client incorporating allowances for any incomplete design elements.
  • Value Engineering: Linesight has conducted thorough value engineering exercises to ensure that the project delivers maximum value for money. By analyzing various design and construction options, we have identified opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality or functionality.
