John Butler, Managing Director - APAC and MENA at Linesight featured in Singapore's 'The Business Times' earlier this week, speaking about Phase Two of the post-COVID-19 reopening.
In response to the question, 'How would the Phase Two reopening of the economy change the business prospectsfor your organisation?', John replied:
"It is promising to see the economy headed in the right direction. Given our experience in the construction sector, we foresee the pandemic having a significant influence in reshaping demands across the various construction sectors, which include commercial, data centres, retail, hospitality and industrial. For instance, the increased reliance on virtual connections has led to a surge in demand for data centres. In the long run, businesses will also need to re-conceptualise physical workplaces according to the new norms to comply with safe distancing measures. These trends naturally present an opportunity for us which will materialise after the reopening. Given Singapore's economic resilience and international reputation, we are confident that this is the beginning of the next upturn."
