The opportunity

As a Senior Project Manager at Linesight, you will work with highly experienced, culturally diverse, and passionate teams nurturing a strong social dynamic and a shared sense of achievement. You will gain vast industry experience that will open doors for you, extend your skillset and expand your perspective. We will empower, support, and enable you to take real responsibility in your role so that you can take charge of your career progression with us. You will be mentored and supported by industry leaders and given the tools to grow. You will also be involved in and contribute to our business strategy as we continue to evolve. For us lasting trusted relationships are everything, both with our teams and our clients.

In this role, you will:

  • Serve as a visible leader onsite, driving progress and ensuring adherence to safe work practices during the upgrade of electrical transmission systems within a substation.
  • Coordinate with the client, consultant team, and contractor to manage all project activities, including snagging, scheduling, and engaging key partners.
  • Proactively identify issues and lead efforts to resolve them efficiently, ensuring project timelines and quality are maintained.
  • Implement and monitor key project processes, working closely with the client to identify opportunities for improvements and adjustments.
  • Lead and participate in key project meetings to track progress, address challenges collaboratively, and communicate updates to all stakeholders effectively.
  • Enforce project procedures and ensure compliance with best practices throughout the project lifecycle.

We would love to hear from you if you:

  • Have experience managing electrical transmission upgrades, particularly on substation projects for data centres or similar high-stakes environments.
  • Hold a project management certification (PMP or equivalent) or are actively pursuing one. Support for certification attainment is available.
  • Have a degree in project management, construction, or a related discipline or equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality in all aspects of project delivery.
  • Are an excellent communicator, capable of clearly articulating ideas, challenges, and solutions both verbally and in writing.
  • Excel at building relationships with teams and clients through collaboration, shared goals, and a positive, professional attitude.
