In this role you will:

  • Analyze construction project plans, contracts, and site conditions to identify potential risks.
  • Assess risks related to cost overruns, delays, safety, regulatory compliance, and environmental impact.
  • Develop and recommend strategies to mitigate identified risks, including contingency plans and insurance options.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to implement risk controls.
  • Monitor ongoing construction projects to identify emerging risks and adjust mitigation strategies as necessary.
  • Compile and analyze data from past and current construction projects to identify trends and inform risk management decisions.
  • Prepare detailed reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholders, summarizing risks and recommended actions.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of risk assessments and mitigation efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations applicable to construction projects.
  • Liaise with insurance providers to manage construction-related claims and ensure adequate coverage.
  • Review and advise on contract terms to protect the organization’s interests.
  • Work closely with project teams, finance, legal, and other departments to ensure alignment on risk management practices.
  • Provide training and guidance on risk management principles to internal stakeholders.
  • Serve as a key contact for external auditors and regulatory bodies regarding construction risks.

  • You have experience as a risk analyst in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with data analysis tools and risk management software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of construction methodologies, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
