In this role you will: 

  • Support the team who are looking for Utility Infrastructures for our Portfolio of potential DC sites and assist them in meeting all project goals and more specifically delivering against Due Diligence requirement and early design stages, by carrying out specific, delegated relationship management tasks including, but not limited to developers, landowners, power grid and energy companies, telecommunications companies, other utility companies and government officials
  • Support PfM with specific, delegated relationship management tasks including, but not limited to developers,  landowner,  power  grid  and  energy  companies,  telecommunications  companies, other utility companies and government officials
  • Manage logistics for meetings to accomplish project goals and/or to resolve outstanding issues with the project. Administration that include, but are not limited to the coordinating of calendars and the scheduling of meetings with internal and external parties
  • Facilitate project meetings by creating and managing documentation and communications, i.e., agenda, action item log, decision log
  • Coordinate Due Diligence activities including:
    • Tracking and maintaining database of site submittals from various intake channels
    • Coordinating team work plans and checklists for compliance with execution plans
    • Coordination of reviews and feedback with internal teams
    • Coordinating activities among external partner teams (legal, engineering, consulting, etc.) and counterparties
    • Assisting with data collection for candidate sites/locations
    • Audit and review of work product
    • Standardize work product deliveries for consistency in format
    • Preliminary QA of diligence work product from vendors, E.I. flag issues for review.
  • Attend meetings as appropriate and follow up on key issues with team members. In the event of an absence, the Coordinator may lead/facilitate meetings to ensure that scheduled meetings proceed accordingly without impacting the project schedule
  • Develop first draft deliverables for Client review (PO’s approval docs and SOWs etc, which requires the obtaining and incorporation of stakeholder input (e.g. Legal/DCDE review), collaboration during  editing with internal stakeholder, and finalizing deliverables for senior manager/executive-level decision making and approvals;
    • Orchestrate   timely   communications  among   project   team   members,   which   can   include identifying, creating, and updating project resources/tools (e.g., Project Tracker inputs and updates, site workbooks, change control log(s), risk register(s), etc.) used by team members so that appropriate actions are taken.
  • Administer project documentation and document control systems, which includes processes for the receipt, review, approval, issue, reproduction, distribution, version control, classification, storage/retrieval, access privileges, and retention of project-related files and documents;
    • Report on key milestones and produce adhoc reports, ensuring data integrity across multiple systems.`
  • Develop a full understanding of client systems, related processes and their dependencies in order to suggest and implement improvements
  • Administer project documentation and document control systems, which includes processes for the receipt, review, approval, issue, reproduction, distribution, version control, classification, storage/retrieval, access privileges, and retention of project-related files and documents
  • Provide project management support for PfM post-acquisition to securing the service infrastructure to facilitate a data centre before commencing building permit stage
  • Coordinate technical and commercial due diligence process by liaising with architecture, planning, engineering and legal partner teams (internal and external)
  • Negotiate contracts with consulting firms AE and public utility providers (D&B, Grid connection agreement consulting services, statement of works, framework agreements (AHJ commitment) etc
  • Liaise and negotiate with the utility company on the specification requirements from the SME
  • Drive communications among project team members including identifying, creating and updating project resources/ tools (project trackers, risk register GANTT chart, etc…)
  • Monitor/manage the deployment of the main utilities (potable water, sewer, industrial water intake and discharge Power...) to either ensure delivery in time or report any potential delays.

We would love to hear from you if you: 

  • Are based, or looking to relocate to Paris, France
  • Have experience project managing on a data centre project or major utility infrastructure project or mission critical projects. Successful experience within a design consultancy or on pre-construction / design phase would be a plus
  • Are a Qualified Engineer in electrical or mechanical engineering,  and preferably hold a chartership
  • Have a project management professional certification or are seeking one.  We can help
  • Are detail oriented, driven and quality focused
  • Are an excellent communicator verbally and in writing
  • French language is preferable, but not required for the role
  • Thrive on building strong relationships with your team and clients through a shared purpose and sense of openness and fun.
