As a Commissioning Manager, you will provide full life-cycle support to Data Centers from design inception through site improvement and maintenance. You will be the ‘go to’ engineering resource for this project when technical advice is needed, and will use your subject matter expertise in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering to: 

 

  • Plan, manage, monitor, and control commission deliverables of the project from initiation to handover. 
  • Attend key meetings and design reviews to monitor progress, actively collaborate on solving problems and communicate progress and impacts to partners. 
  • Contribute to guiding design decisions to balance the Engineering intent and timeliness of project delivery.   
  • Contribute to the management of the GC in their planning and delivery of the commissioning scopes for the project on site. 
  • Participate in site walks with the A/E team, GC/Trades, QA/QC Team, Ops Team to review project requirements, quality and progress, facilitating virtual site walks with off-site stakeholders where required.  
  • Be able to coordinate scope gaps between complex mechanical and electrical and identify discrepancies. As well as facilitate a full scope matrix between BMS/EPMS.  

 

We would love to hear from you if you: 

  • Have previous technical project management and design/documentation experience in the Construction sector. 
  • Have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, Design or a related discipline 
  • Are an excellent communicator verbally and in writing   
  • Love a dynamic environment with the opportunity to manage your own priorities and deadlines  
  • Thrive on building strong relationships with your team and clients through a shared purpose and sense of openness and fun  
  • Understand the requirements for a sensitive project site like data center, life sciences or hospital settings.  
  • Provide reports as need to identify technical issues and suggested solutions
  • Understand and be able to navigate through a BIM Model
  • Understand load calculations for heating and cooling loads ensuring equipment is properly sized
  • Understand Ontario Building codes for mechanical and electrical equipment, including TSSA compliance
