In this role you will:

 

  • Aid in the development of BIM standards and service offerings to Linesight internally and to our its clients. Build a fully functioning Digital service offering that complements Linesight’s existing services and future needs.  
  • Be responsible for developing and implementing Linesight’s BIM Strategies 
  • Develop new digital ways of working and the automation of standardised tasks to improve the BIM offering in time quality and delivery. Reduce risk and costs associated with traditional workflows & promote digital ways of working.  
  • Be a force for change and communicate effectively to transition other staff to a digital mindset. 
  • Work collaboratively with other BIM Managers, Coordinators, Technicians, Cost Managers and Project managers to facilitate the requirements of our projects.  
  • Implementing BIM mandates, maintaining the delivery of BIM standards (ISO 19650) required both internally and externally & client specific requirements. 
  • Have a good base understanding of construction principles good communication and collaboration skills.  
  • Understand & develop productive methods to leverage 4D & 5D process combining data from differing disciplines tying them to a deliverable standard that is presented when reporting. 
  • Be the companies BIM point of contact and be responsible for the delivery of BIM & digital objectives on our projects during its entire lifecycle from pre-construction, through to handover and facilitating Asset data requirements for operation. 
  • Support the project team with preparing the EIR (Exchange Information Requirements) /IMR (Iterative Model Reconstruction), accessing and identifying appropriate digital activities for the projects and reviewing pre-contract BEP (BIM Execution Plan) 
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to assure compliance with project requirements, company standards, procedures, and industry codes. Work closely with the project delivery team, designers, and subcontractors to review and manage project documentation. 
  • Develop and manage 4 & 5D BIM Model requirements with support from project team. 
  • Hold and chair BIM coordination meetings and record BIM progress throughout the project, generate and distribute reports, action points to relevant stakeholders. 
  • Support Site Team to review/manage risk associated with site activities. 
  • Occasional onsite support and activities with the use of software / hardware testing training for surveying and compliance checks as required. 
  • Train personnel in the use of BIM Tools, Documentation, and awareness to assist in the management and delivery of the projects.

We would love to hear from you if you:

 

  • Relevant experience working in a similar role. 
  • In-depth working knowledge of Autodesk AEC Suites and a skilled user of cloud collaboration platform’s (CDE’s) along with Site verification tools. 
  • Good working knowledge of Geographical Information System, data storage and records management 
  • Development and Implementation of Coding strategies to meet the needs of the CM (Cost Managers) / PM (Project Managers) e.g., Uniclass, Omniclass, ICMS, WBS, etc.  
  • Managing coordination meetings and valuation reporting using 3D, 4D, 5D, 6D & 7D BIM software 
  • Management of CDE & model version documentation 
  • Competent in using data analysis & reporting software i.e., PowerBI  
  • Displays good interpersonal and communication skills and acts in an independent and professional manner with the ability to influence others including senior management. 
  • Formal Education Qualifications 
  • NFQ Level 9 or Higher in Building Information Modelling / Other relevant Digital Qualification 
  • Surveying / Engineering / Architectural or Construction Project Management qualification to degree level 
  • Lectured or researched on a given BIM related topic would also be advantageous.  
  • Excellent understanding of BIM Certification – BIM Level 2 and the PAS1192 / ISO 19650.
