The opportunity

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor (CSA & MEP) at Linesight, you will work with highly experienced, culturally diverse, and passionate teams nurturing a strong social dynamic and a shared sense of achievement. You will gain vast industry experience that will open doors for you, extend your skillset and expand your perspective. We will empower, support, and enable you to take real responsibility in your role so that you can take charge of your career progression with us. For us lasting trusted relationships are everything, both with our teams and our clients.

In this role, you will:

  • Actively participate in the tender/bid process across both CSA and MEP packages—from initial tender documentation through analysis and reporting.
  • Analyse CSA and MEP tenders to ensure client value for money, identifying risks and opportunities in both disciplines.
  • Assist in the preparation and agreement of final accounts, including handling claims, ensuring the client receives the best value across all construction elements.
  • Develop accurate estimates and cost plans for key client developments, considering the complexities of both CSA and MEP scopes.
  • Oversee project spend by preparing valuations and cost reports, clearly communicating cost variations for CSA and MEP works.
  • Provide robust cost documentation to support agile project management and informed decision-making.
  • Assist in resolving construction disputes, loss, and expense claims across CSA and MEP disciplines with transparency and professionalism.

We would love to hear from you if you:

  • Have experience in pre- and post-contract cost management on projects covering both CSA and MEP.
  • Hold a degree or comparable experience in quantity surveying, construction management, or a related discipline.
  • Are chartered or working towards chartership – we can support your journey.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, ensuring clear collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Thrive on building strong relationships with clients and colleagues, fostering a shared purpose, openness, and an enjoyable working environment.
